Creativity-ness

Sean and I are very creative people. Oh wait, you already knew that, didn't you? Well we are, but in very different ways so that we don't often appreciate each others projects.

For example, the other night Sean was in the kitchen when he called me in to see what he had done...

I mean, how cool is that? A candle inside an orange peel with just some of the insides used for the wick and olive oil!?! Who thinks of doing that? Sean is just too talented!

I, on the other hand, think I'm a painter, but then realize that I'm not (maybe in a past life I was an artist...). I made this cut-out for my friends daughter's birthday party. It's supposed to be the character for the books Pinkalicious. Here's McKay playing princess.

Now's the part where you all leave comments saying how AH-MAZING we are and how you're sooo super jealous of our talent. Or not...because you're our moms and still don't know how to comment <3 !!!

Girl Scout Cookies

Just in case you were ever curious to see what happens when you give a two year old a Girl Scout cookie and then walk away to start the laundry...

Here's one messy/happy/sticky/chocolate-in-the-eye kid!

Also, here are some highlights from our weekend visit from Taylor and Logan. We ate, played Settlers, ate, played with McKay, and played Settlers some more. Taylor - as always - thank you for letting my steal your pictures and please have another birthday soon so we can celebrate again!

Sean gave Taylor zebra printed knives for her bday. They have a strange relationship :o)

Yummy dessert pizza!

Gotta love when McKay plays with his cars on your back. Mini-massage!

Logan provided McKay nonstop entertainment in the car. Please drive with us to Ohio this summer, Logan!

Why Not?

It's been awhile since I've blogged and since I don't feel like doing a "real" post, here are three random pictures for you.

1. I bought these shoes from Target today ($14). Perfect for my trip to AZ in 26 days!!!

2. Last week was our Dr. Seuss Family Reading Night. Here's me and our school librarian. We were in charge of the whole event. It was EXHAUSTING! (and yes, I did make that cut out. Awesome, I know)

3. Just in case any of you were wondering what I would look like if I had blue eyes...I wore colored contacts when I was 16. They were fun, but really made me appreciate my brown eyes.
