Pink Eye

One day last week I woke up with a crusty, goopy eye. Gross, Pink Eye. I've gotten it a few times since I've been a teacher. My principal sent me home right away because he didn't want it to spread to the students. It happened to be a beautiful day, so after I went and picked up some eye drops and got McKay from the sitters we headed to the park. Luckily my eyes are fine now and neither McKay or any of my students caught it. Win-Win.

P.S. Only 5 more days of work until SUMMER VACATION!!!

2 1/2

We love our little man - even though he's been a stinker lately!

Happy 2 1/2 Birthday

P.S. Yeah, he's holding a $100 bill. Sean is way too trusting of our toddler.

A couple weeks ago when it was warm...

As you can probably guess from the title, these pictures are a couple weeks old. It was 80 degrees for a few days and we LOVED it! McKay and I were outside the majority of the weekend. Rexburg has since gone back to it's cold/windy spring self. Although today was pretty nice too  :o)

Come on Duckies! Get the bread!

We have since cut this boy's long hair!

McKay has to dump out all his books in order to find just what he's looking for.

Best Book Ever!

When we were in Arizona, Sean found this book for McKay. If you or your child is a Star Wars fan, this is a MUST HAVE! It takes a lot of the popular scenes from the movies and tells how to story would have been if Darth Vader would have raised Luke. Pretty funny stuff. McKay LOVES it!
His hand is in the way, but in this picture Luke has kicked a soccer ball and hit Darth Vader in a very funny spot. McKay has learned a new word - nuts! (Thanks Sean!)
Fine, Mom! If you won't read this to me, then I'm going to go find Dad!
P.S. This is my 200th post on this blog
Just in time to learn Blogger's new format  :o)

Lately

Here's what we've been up to lately and why I haven't been better at posting about my spring break:
Sean has been learning how to use a program called Sketchup where you can design buildings and homes. He has this crazy idea where he wants to build a home out of shipping containers. I've been pretty skeptical, but the homes he's shown me are really beautiful looking. Since Betsy is currently building a home using Sketchup, she even sent Sean a book to help him with his current project.

I've been busy reading. My mom suggested this book to me awhile ago and it took a couple months until I finally got this book from the library. I kinda loved it and even pre-ordered the sequel. It's a YA book and has a hint of the Hunger Games feel to it. I even read it in four days, which is a big deal for someone who isn't the fastest reader (I'm actually pretty slow).

Finally, last night I got a couple of mini pizzas for dinner and decided to have McKay help me make them. It did not go well, though. We were busy putting on all the toppings when McKay decided he would rather just eat all the cheese. I couldn't get him to stop, AND of course we didn't have much cheese so one of the pizzas was basically just crust, sauce, and pepperoni.

Here's McKay as I'm telling him to stop eating the cheese. What a stinker!

And here's McKay when I take the pizzas away so he can't eat any more cheese. I love my dramatic boy!

Spring Break - AZ

McKay and I went to visit my grandparents in AZ for the first part of Spring Break and we met my parents, sister, and her two kids there, too. I FINALLY got to meet my nephew, Ari, and we became fast friends. It was really nice to be around family and to enjoy the beautiful weather. I especially loved this trip because McKay had such a great time with Lillia. Those two are great friends until one takes the others toy. Typical two and three year olds. I was sad that I didn't bring my camera so all I had was my iPhone. Luckily I did bring it for the second part of our trip to Salt Lake City, but those pictures will come later.

The whole AZ gang (minus my dad who's taking the picture)

Me and my birthday buddy, Ari, in the Moby Wrap. Isn't he the cutest, biggest 5 month old?!?

McKay and Lilly found these huge tigers that my grandparents have (?) and they rode them around the house.

Gotta give the tigers love! Nana thought this was so funny.

Becca let me borrow some suspenders for McKay and they make him look so handsome!

Only around 2 more months until I see my family again and I'm already counting down the days!
