April = Family month!

We had a ton of family visit this past month. It was so much fun. McKay loved meeting / seeing everyone and he definitely loved getting extra attention. So, my family came to visit over Easter weekend. Becca and Lillia hadn't met McKay yet so that was special. Between the two babies on different eating and sleeping schedules we didn't really do a lot - that and the unexpected blizzard that came that weekend. We had planned on taking some pictures outdoors so that didn't happen like we hoped, but we were able to get them at my friend's house. Anyways here are some pictures from their visit.

Our next visitors were Sean's mom and stepdad. They came up for Jamie's graduation. It was so nice to do family dinners with everyone and spend time together while celebrating Jamie's accomplishment. Unfortunately, I did not take a single picture. What was I thinking?! Sorry!

Finally, Sean's uncle Kent, aka Big Guy came up with his son Kenith to drop him off for college. It was a quick visit, but we were so glad to see him. We even went to their hotel pool and took McKay swimming for the first time He tolerated the water just fine.

Busy month

I've been meaning to post for the past couple of weeks, but I haven't been able to find the time. So this may be kinda a mixture of what we've been up to. First of all I wanted to share this super cute shop on etsy. My friend Megan put it on her blog and I loved it so much I ordered a necklace for myself. It's these great little tags and they will stamp a name, initials, sayings, whatever, in the tag. I got one that says McKay and I also got one for Becca with her babies' names on it. Here's the site so you can check it out as well.

Aren't these great? I get lots of compliments on my necklace.

Okay, what's next (Sean has on Life and I'm finding it hard to concentrate)...We went to Utah three weeks ago to see Sean's family. His sister Taylor is getting married and his mom, Tani, and Milla flew into SLC to go dress shopping with her (Taylor's dress is amazing! I can't wait to post her wedding pictures - in August!). Anyways we spent a day with them and it was so nice to visit and relax with family. We were also able to stop by my grandparent's house and see them for an hour.

Last weekend my best friend from high school, Kristin, flew in from Ohio on her spring break. It was so incredibly nice to have her here. I hadn't realized how much I miss having a good friend to hang out with all the time. She's finishing up her grad program at OSU in OT so she's always so busy so we really just hung out, relaxed, and of course, snuggled with the baby. Kristin was so good with McKay and he totally loved all the extra attention.

I think that's about it. I know I'm forgetting something, but it's late (almost 10!) and my brain has shut down for the night. I'll be posting again soon since my parents, Becca, and Lillia will be here THIS THURSDAY!!! I can hardly wait!

picnik.com

I love this photo editing site. It's so easy, fun, and free! There are some cooler options for the pictures if you're a member. That costs money, but I'm seriously debating on joining. I LOVE it!

Lillia's Birthday!

Yesterday was Lillia's first birthday! I can't believe Big Girl is one already. For her birthday I decided to post a few of my favorite Lillia pictures. We'll be celebrating her 13 month birthday when she comes to Idaho next month.

Cutest baby ever (well maybe it's a tie because I think McKay is also the cutest baby ever)

Upcoming Visitors

March and April are turning out to be packed full with visitors and we can't wait (I never pass on an opportunity to show off my baby).

First, we'll be seeing Kim, Tani, and Baby Milla next weekend when they come up to Utah to go dress shopping with Taylor

Grandma and McKay (over Christmas break)
Tani, Milan, and Milla

Then, two weeks later, Kristin will be flying in from Columbus to spend her spring break with us! This was totally a last minute trip and I'm SO glad it worked out!

Then my parents, Becca, and Lillia will be flying out the first weekend of April. This will be Becca's first time meeting McKay and it will also be the first time that McKay and Lillia meet! We can't wait (33 more days!).

Finally, how can I end a post without at least one current picture of my Little Boy? Here is my happy baby. I love McKay!

Things that make me laugh

This is totally random, but here are a few things that I think are pretty funny.

Remember when it was cool to send those "bumper stickers" on facebook? Becca and I would send them back and forth to each other. This one was my favorite.

One of my new favorite shows on TV is Modern Family. It cracks me up every week!

Oh, peopleofwalmart.com Thank you for these horribly hilarious pictures like this one. So gross!

Just some more pictures of McKay....

Really, what else do I post about these days? I'm pretty sure McKay has been in every picture I've taken in the past 3 months. We're doing well here - busy, but well. Going back to work was pretty rough. It wasn't too terrible though because Sean's mom watched McKay the first week and then Sean took a 2 week paternity leave. The worst was my first day dropping him off at the sitters. He did great, but I was a mess that day. Things are better now and we're getting into a good routine. Sean is extra busy with drivers ed and doesn't get home until almost 6 now, so that leaves me to cook dinner. In the six years that we've been married I think I cooked dinner about ten times and I usually messed it up pretty badly, so cooking now is a big deal. My goal is to cook dinner twice a week. I'm starting out small. So far it hasn't been too bad and McKay is so good - he just sits in his bouncy chair on the counter top and watches me cook. He is starting to get a tummy and we're loving spending time with him. He's starting to shriek when he's happy and smile more. We are completely in love with our boy! Here are some of our latest pictures.

cute outfit from Becca. Check out those lips!

McKay visits me at lunchtime every Wednesday. It's my favorite day!
